The School Psychologist Intern will support Rocketships Integrated Special Education team by providing direct and indirect support to students families teachers and school leaders. This role is designed for a graduate-level school psychology intern who is working toward licensure and seeking hands-on experience in a public elementary school setting.
This position is based in Milwaukee Wisconsin and supports Rocketships Milwaukee campuses. The School Psychologist Intern will work under supervision and support school teams with psychoeducational evaluations IEP meetings pre-referral processes behavior consultation social-emotional supports and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support.
Rocketship schools use a meaningful inclusion model for special education. A core part of this role is supporting teams in developing plans and interventions that allow students regardless of disability to access the general education setting to the greatest extent appropriate.

Essential Functions
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support psychoeducational assessments and formal behavior assessments under appropriate supervision.
- Assist with writing clear high-quality and compliant assessment reports.
- Attend IEP meetings and support the presentation of assessment findings to the IEP team.
- Assist with the implementation of assessment recommendations as appropriate.
- Participate in pre-referral meetings and provide consultation to school teams regarding intervention supports for students.
- Partner with teachers school leaders student services team members and related service providers to support MTSS systems and student intervention planning.
- Provide direct and indirect support to students receiving social-emotional or behavioral interventions.
- Work with families to build understanding of disability student needs and inclusive supports.
- Assist in providing consultation and guidance to administrators teachers and families regarding general education and special education supports.
- Assist with coordination communication and consultation with community agencies as appropriate.
- Maintain compliant documentation records and timelines.
- Participate in frequent direct and indirect supervision with Rocketships school psychology leadership and school psychology team.
- Support the consultation collaboration development and implementation of 504 plans as needed.
- Provide additional consultation around social-emotional and behavioral systems and structures as needed.
- Support counseling and other intervention supports as appropriate and under supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Enrollment in a graduate-level School Psychology program.
- Enrollment in a credentialing or licensure pathway for School Psychology.
- Ability to complete internship requirements in alignment with university state and Rocketship expectations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with students families teachers school leaders and other staff members.
- Commitment to Rocketships special education inclusion model and mission to close the achievement gap within our lifetime.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic school environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a school environment that continues to grow and evolve.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel between school sites as needed.

- Enrollment in a NASP-approved School Psychology program.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Experience working in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support.
- Experience working with elementary-age students.
- Experience supporting students with a range of disabilities including learning disabilities emotional and behavioral disabilities autism and other related needs.
- Experience supporting behavior consultation social-emotional intervention or counseling services.
