The Faculty of Fine Arts and Music invites applications forGraduate Researcher Academic Associate (GRAA) positions from graduate researchers currently enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music.
GRAAs will contribute positively to educatinginspiringand supporting students and/or research projects and outcomes across theFaculty. The GRAAs willbe responsible forcarrying out education relatedactivityfor one or moresubjects andparticipatein broader research activities.
We are seeking applicants enrolled as a University of Melbourne student undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Musicwho aremaking satisfactory progress in their course and have passed their confirmation and; have at least 12 months remaining in candidatureand with discipline and domain knowledge in one of the following program areas:
Acting and Theatre
Musicology and Ethnomusicology
Film and Television
Indigenous Arts and Culture
Interactive Composition
Music Psychology
Music Therapy
Whatyou willdeliver:
Deliver high-quality teaching consultations and assessment using subject guidelines Canvasresourcesand direction from Subject Coordinators.
Support students learning and wellbeing through responsive communication clear guidancetimelyfeedbackand helpful learning resources.
Contribute to research projects by reviewing literaturecollectingand managing data andassistingwith ethics and publications.
Assistacademics with competitive grant applications including drafting narratives preparing budgets and supporting reporting and acquittals.
Engage in University-supported professional development to strengthen your teaching practice and longer-term academic career readiness.

Are currently enrolled in a Fine Arts and Music graduate research degree with confirmation passed and strong progress.
Bring disciplineexpertisein one or more relevant areas
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence engaging students and collaborating within teaching teams.
Manage competing tasks effectively meeting deadlines while balancing graduate research commitments with part-time academic responsibilities.
