CLUB PLAYWORKER VACANCY Breakfast and After School
Hartford Primary Schools own in-house Breakfast and After School Club are inviting applicants to join the new team at this exciting time.
We are looking for a dedicated person to join our team providing the very best childcare in our school for each child in what will be a very rewarding role. We are looking for a playworker who can bring fun enthusiasm professionalism and drive to our setting.
Your responsibilities will include: -
- Helping prepare and deliver quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment as per the timetable
- Providing comprehensive care for the children
- Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment
- Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene health and safety standards are met
- Meet and greet the children on arrival
- Administering first aid when necessary
- Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities
- Facilitating good communication with all team members parents children and school
- Undertaking appropriate and relevant training
- Keeping the work environment healthy safe and secure
- Working within the framework of the schools policies and procedures
Essential skills required for the role:
- Understanding the varied needs of children and their families
- Provide and facilitate safe play
- Good communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team
- Sound judgement and common sense
Salary: Grade 2 SCP 2 - 24413 per annum this is a term time role.
Actual Salary: - 5547
Hourly Rate: 12.65
Position Hours
This position is to work 4 days a week (10 hours) initially (Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday mornings and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons) in the Breakfast Club (7.45am 9.00am) and After School Club (3.00pm- 4.30pm on a Tuesday and 2.45pm 6.15pm on a Thursday).
