Sebenza LLC is a leading provider of structured cabling solutions for businesses in the McLean Virginia area. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Structured Cable Technician to join our team on a full-time basis.

As a Structured Cable Technician you will be responsible for installing maintaining and troubleshooting structured cabling systems for our clients. This includes copper and fiber optic cabling network equipment and related hardware and software. You will work closely with our project managers and other technicians to ensure that all cabling projects are completed on time within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install terminate and test copper and fiber optic cabling in accordance with industry standards and best practices

- Troubleshoot and repair cabling and network equipment issues

- Install and configure network equipment such as switches routers and wireless access points

- Perform site surveys and create detailed documentation of cabling infrastructure

- Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely completion of projects

- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients

- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent technical or vocational training in cabling or network infrastructure is preferred

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in structured cabling installation and maintenance

- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for copper and fiber optic cabling

- Experience with network equipment installation and configuration

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
