This student internship position will be onsite in Cedar Rapids Iowa. This role may be eligible for relocation.
What You Will Do:
- You will perform ASIC/FPGA/SoPC verification using inspection analysis simulation and test methods.
- You will work on the creation of DO-254 DAL-A certification artifacts for Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH).
- You will conduct and/or participate in peer reviews throughout product lifecycle.
- You will communicate well with a wide variety of individuals including Engineering and Program Management.
What You Will Learn:
- You will learn about video processing and networking technologies used to develop leading edge avionics equipment.
- You will learn all phases of the complex hardware product life cycle from requirements through verification while employing the companys engineering processes to produce safe high quality certified products.
- You will learn the requirements for product certification required by federal agencies.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen permanent resident or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: We Prefer:
- Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelors or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or an applicable discipline. Sophomores will be considered depending on practical experience.
- Familiar with Digital Design Engineering.
- Experience with Linux (or Unix) scripting C/C Python and/or Perl.
- All College technical experience will be considered.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision as part of a team of engineers with a variety of skills and backgrounds located throughout the world and matrixed into projects with aggressive schedules and frequent milestones.
- Experience with on hardware verification using Logic Analyzers and oscilloscope
- Familiar using FPGA specific tools (e.g. Questasim Vivado Libero Synplify Pro etc.).

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
