Job Summary

Koorana is seeking an experiencedClinical and/or Registered Psychologistwith an interestin paediatrics to join our Early Intervention & Allied Health team on a permanent part time basis for two days per week.

About the Role

Working within our transdisciplinary team you will beresponsible for providingpsychological services to children aged 0-18 with additional needs and their are looking for someone who can hit the ground running to provide our clients with quality will be working in a variety of settingsincluding clinic community-based (in home early education settings and schools) and tele-health.

Some of the key responsibilities are:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments including cognitive emotional and behavioural evaluations.
  • Administer standardized tests and interpret results to inform diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Prepare detailed assessment reports with clear recommendations for interventions.
  • Participatingin transdisciplinary practice andconsultingwith other relevant agencies.
  • Referringto other professionals or agencies as appropriate.
  • Maintainingahigh degreeof professionalawarenessregardingcurrent best practice and researchin the field andalways ensuring theapplication of these principles.
  • Gradually working up to maintaininga clinical caseload.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Several years clinical experience having developed a wide range of skills including the ability to engage teams in multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary practice approaches.
  • The ability to provide clinical supervision if necessary.
  • Experience in deliveringtherapy withinnatural learning environmentsandworking with children with additional learning needs.
  • To have outstandingtime managementskills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • To be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinaryteam.
  • The desire to be challenged and progress further as atherapist.
  • The ability to work autonomously and be efficient at problemsolving.
  • To have a demonstratedability to work in a culturally diverse community and build strong relationships withfamilies.

Qualifications & Certifications

  • A recognised degree inPsychology.
  • Current AHPRA Registration (Psychology).
  • Working with Children Check.
  • National Police Check.
  • Current Drivers licence.
