Audit Senior -- Government Services

As an Audit Senior youll play a key role in delivering audits reviews and compilations for state and local government clients. Youll lead critical portions of engagements collaborate closely with managers and partners and help guide junior team memberswhile building specialized expertise within a highly regarded government services practice.
This role offers autonomy visibility and the opportunity to build your reputation as a trusted advisorboth inside the firm and with clients.
What Youll Do
In this role youll take ownership of audit engagements from planning through completion while also serving as a mentor and coach to staff auditors. Youll manage higherrisk and more complex areas of engagements provide thoughtful analysis and insight and ensure work is completed accurately efficiently and on time.
Youll work directly with clients to address issues as they arise apply professional standards to realworld situations and help ensure conclusions are wellsupported and clearly documented. As you grow youll also begin developing relationships internally and externally contributing to marketing goals and expanding your subjectmatter expertise.
Quality collaboration and professionalism are central to how the work gets doneand how success is measured.

What You Bring

Key skills and qualifications include:
  • Strong analytical organizational and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Project management experience in a public accounting environment
  • Ability to supervise review and develop the work of others
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Education & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 2 years of public accounting audit experience (or equivalent relevant industry experience)
Preferred
  • CPA (or progress toward certification)
  • Experience in the government audit space
