Job Summary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Update and maintain the departmental employee database as needed for employees within the Police Department.
- Distributes and track evaluations for all personnel.
- Process Personnel Action Forms (promotions merit increases transfers retirement etc.)
- Produce reports as needed for Commanders and HR staff.
- Assist with the preparation and processing of Timecards in Telestaff and Workforce Management System.
- Process MPCTC applications and updates
- Maintains union leave banks
- Assist internal and external customers as needed (in-person phones emails).
- File Maintenance and management.
- Provide support for other members of the Division and components of the Department as needed.
- Maintain individual confidential personnel files for each person employed with the HCPD including filing of leave slips. Maintain files for various contract employees auxiliary police officers interns and volunteers.
- Generate specialized reports from the departmental employee database which may include information such as salary assignments skills education individual employee history (promotions commendation transfers) and more.
- Submit applications to the Maryland Police Training Commission for all newly hired police officers.
