Inventory Specialist

Job Summary
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels maintaining inventory records and supporting efficient material flow within the organization. This role plays a key part in preventing shortages reducing excess stock and supporting operational and financial goals through accurate inventory control
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Track inventory movement including receipts transfers adjustments and issues
- Coordinate with purchasing warehouse production and operations teams to ensure material availability
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends shortages excess or obsolete stock
- Maintain proper storage labeling and organization of inventory items
- Prepare inventory reports audits and documentation as required
- Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and safety standards
- Assist with continuous improvement in initiatives related to inventory accuracy and efficiency
- Support internal and external audits related to inventory control
- Supervisory Responsibilities- In the event that this position becomes vacant the Inventory Control Analyst or Materials Manager will resume responsibilities.
- Environmental Responsibilities- Cooperate with action team directives. Familiar with evacuation plans. Trained in clean-up modules. Familiar with environmental plant postings.

- Education and/or Experience- Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
