Job Summary

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels maintaining inventory records and supporting efficient material flow within the organization. This role plays a key part in preventing shortages reducing excess stock and supporting operational and financial goals through accurate inventory control

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems
Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies
Track inventory movement including receipts transfers adjustments and issues
Coordinate with purchasing warehouse production and operations teams to ensure material availability
Analyze inventory data to identify trends shortages excess or obsolete stock
Maintain proper storage labeling and organization of inventory items
Prepare inventory reports audits and documentation as required
Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and safety standards
Assist with continuous improvement in initiatives related to inventory accuracy and efficiency
Support internal and external audits related to inventory control
Supervisory Responsibilities- In the event that this position becomes vacant the Inventory Control Analyst or Materials Manager will resume responsibilities.
Environmental Responsibilities- Cooperate with action team directives. Familiar with evacuation plans. Trained in clean-up modules. Familiar with environmental plant postings.

Education and/or Experience- Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
