Introduction:
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Bricklayer / Builder with more than 20 years of hands-on construction experience to join their team in Springs on a six-month contract basis. The successful candidate will oversee and manage a team of workers while ensuring high-quality bricklaying and construction work is completed safely and efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of construction workers on site
- Perform bricklaying block work plastering and general building activities
- Allocate tasks and ensure productivity targets are achieved
- Ensure all work is completed according to quality and safety standards
- Monitor workmanship and maintain site discipline
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Work according to project timelines and deadlines
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 20 years proven experience as a Bricklayer / Builder
- Previous experience supervising or managing construction teams
- Must be medically fit
- Own reliable transport is essential
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and site safety practices
- Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively
