Job Summary

CNAPosition SummaryThe Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care and support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The CNA plays an essential role in promoting patient comfort safety and dignity while assisting the clinical team in delivering high-quality hospital care. This role requires excellent communication skills attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced acute-care environment.---Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing grooming toileting dressing and oral hygiene. Measure and record vital signs (temperature pulse respirations blood pressure oxygen saturation) and report abnormalities to the RN. Assist with patient mobility including transferring turning repositioning and ambulation using appropriate techniques and equipment. Support nutritional needs by assisting with meal delivery feeding patients as needed and documenting intake/output. Provide basic comfort measures such as linen changes skin care and prevention of pressure Support Collect non-invasive specimens for testing (e.g. urine stool) as directed. Assist nursing staff with procedures such as wound care setup equipment preparation and patient monitoring. Maintain patient rooms in a clean safe and orderly manner. Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) per hospital & Compliance Follow infection prevention and control protocols including appropriate use of PPE. Observe patients for changes in condition and immediately report concerns to the RN or Charge Nurse. Ensure patient environment safety including fall precautions and safe handling practices. Adhere to all hospital policies regulatory standards and patient privacy laws (HIPAA).Team Collaboration & Communication Communicate effectively with nurses physicians therapists and other care team members. Participate in shift handoff reports and contribute to care planning as appropriate. Provide emotional support and respectful engagement with patients and families.---QualificationsRequired: High school diploma or equivalent. Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (or hospital-approved equivalent).Preferred: Six (6) months or more experience in an acute-care hospital setting. Experience using electronic health record systems. MAB or CPI Required Previous Hospital Experience Fire Safety Class---Skills & Competencies Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate patient-centered approach to care. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and infection control practices.---Physical Requirements Ability to lift move and position patients and equipment (up to required hospital standard). Frequent standing walking bending and reaching. Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
