You work with data from aircraft naval systems and sensor driven environments. This includes use cases such as maintenance optimization predictive insights and scenario simulation where models directly support real world decisions.

Your Mission
You design and develop analytical models that support operational decision making across complex systems.
Build simulation models using tools such as SimPy or similar frameworks
Develop and solve optimization models using CPLEX or comparable solvers
Analyze sensor and time series data to extract actionable insights
Translate operational challenges into structured analytical approaches
Work with Python using libraries such as pandas NumPy matplotlib and scikit-learn
Integrate models into applications and workflows together with engineering teams
Validate and improve models based on real world data and feedback
Support Core Defense Capabilities
Fleet Management through optimization of maintenance and asset availability
Expeditionary Operations through simulation of operational scenarios and constraints
Total Asset Visibility through analysis of sensor and system data
MRO and Sustainment through predictive models and maintenance optimization
What You Bring
5 years of experience in Data Science Operations Research or similar roles
Strong programming skills in Python
Experience with simulation modeling (e.g. SimPy or similar)
Experience with mathematical optimization (CPLEX preferred or similar solvers)
Experience working with sensor or time series data in applied environments
Ability to translate complex and ambiguous problems into structured models
Experience working with data from logistics maintenance or system driven environments
Familiarity with scalable environments including containerization or distributed data processing
Strong analytical mindset and structured way of working
