Job Summary
Your new team:
As a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) at auxmoney youll join our Customer Acquisition & Partnerships team where we build and evolve backend services that power customer-facing experiences and partner integrations. The impact is very visible: we maintain and improve our web presence our API partner integrations and the systems that underpin them.
This role is primarily backend with occasional touchpoints to the web layer. Front-end experience is a plus (not mandatory) especially if you enjoy collaborating across the stack to ship end-to-end improvements.
You will design and deliver impactful features help build a scalable resilient system architecture and take end-to-end ownership from concept through deployment working closely with product managers business stakeholders and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality solutions and continuously improve engineering standards across the team. If you are passionate about writing clean maintainable code solving complex technical challenges and building software that delivers real value this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

- Collaboration & Problem Solving:Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders actively contribute to design reviews and address root causes of recurring technical challenges.
- Ownership & Mentorship:Take responsibility for challenging projects and guide team members through technical mentoring and hands-on support.
- Strategic Thinking & Growth Mindset:Balance short-term delivery with long-term system sustainability and continuously look for opportunities to improve technology processes and team effectiveness.
Your profile
- Backend Engineering Expertise: Several years of hands-on backend development experience with preferably strong proficiency in PHP particularly using the Symfony framework.
- Frontend Engineering Expertise (Bonus): Familiarity with frontend development experience with preferably strong proficiency in (Vue 2/3) particularly building scalable applications with modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- SQL Expertise: Hands-on SQL experience in application development with strong proficiency in relational data modelling (table design keys and constraints) and writing complex performant queries to support business features.
- System & API Development: Proven experience designing building and maintaining robust backend systems in production environments including strong expertise in developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Cloud & DevOps Practices: Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and modern DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines containerization and infrastructure automation. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is highly valued.
- Event-Driven Architecture (Bonus): Familiarity with Kafka or similar event-driven messaging systems is considered a strong advantage.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Solid understanding of automated testing strategies including unit and integration testing with a focus on delivering reliable and high-quality software aligned with overall quality standards.
- Product-Oriented Mindset:A strong focus on building solutions that deliver measurable value for users and business outcomes.
- Team & Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and contribute to a supportive engineering culture.
- Security & Compliance Awareness: A proactive approach to implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Language Skills: Fluent written and spoken English.
