Digitisation Operative (mfd)
Job Summary

In this role you will become part of a dedicated team responsible for the digitisation of historical documents helping to preserve valuable archival records and make them accessible online. Your work will play a direct role in ensuring that historical information is safeguarded and available for future generations.
Location: Friesack (Germany)
Working hours: 35-40 hours per week
Employment duration: Fixed-term contract of 4 to 6 months
Your responsibilities:
Digitisation of historical documents in accordance with established standards.
Quality control of digital copies regarding completeness readability and technical accuracy.
Preparation of documents for the digitisation process (e.g. review sorting basic preservation-related handling).
Collaboration with team members in the digitisation project.
Documentation of digitisation workflows and results.
Your profile:
Willingness to learn digitisation techniques.
Independent and careful working style.
Team player with initiative.
Careful handling of historical documents.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of historical manuscripts is an advantage.
Experience working with historical documents is desirable.
Good written and spoken German skills.
English language skills are an advantage.
