Quality Assurance Manager
Job Summary
Purpose of the Position:
Ensure institutional compliance with state and federal financial aid processing rules and employee compliance with institutional policies and procedures. Oversee team of Student Finance Analysts on the QA team.
Job responsibilities:
- Daily supervision of Student Finance Analysts on the QA team. Respond to inquiries and facilitate appropriate resolution of questions and concerns.
- Review work of Student Finance Analysts on the QA team for accuracy and performance. Establish performance benchmarks and monitor for regular attainment.
- Performance management of Student Finance Analysts on the QA Team.
- Develop and provide ongoing and appropriate training for Student Finance Analysts on the QA team to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and institutional policies.
- Work closely with VP Student Finance to establish and monitor appropriate financial aid file system workflows rules and processes.
- Testing and setup of financial aid file workflows and processes in Anthology and related student information systems.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to resolve questions concerns or discrepant student data.
- Review financial aid files for compliance with federal and state regulations and institutional policies.
- Timely and accurate promotion or demotion of financial aid files in Anthology and related student information systems.
- Update Anthology and related student information systems with appropriate notes and statuses to ensure timely accurate packaging and disbursement of aid awards.
- Calculate file review rejection & approval rates for supervisor review.
- Remain up to date with TIV Regulations attend training etc.
- Assist with the preparation of student files for annual SFA Audits.
- Assist with Cal Grant Eligibility Review and Reporting as needed.
- Monitor inter-departmental requests and activities submitted through Anthologys Contact Manager and respond/resolve appropriately.
- Collaborate with Student Finance Analysts on COD team to resolve rejected files.
- Collaborate with Student Finance Analysts on COD team to research and resolve past due aid disbursements.
Qualifications :
Education Experience Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- 10 years of experience packaging or auditing Title IV financial aid.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
- Bachelors degree preferred but will consider experience in lieu of degree.
- Cal Grant certification experience preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate effective and professional communication skills.
- Strong computer skills proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills to resolve discrepant or inconsistent information
- Strong organizational skills and ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
