Field Sales Insights Analyst (External)

Job Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect analyze and interpret sales data market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support the field sales team and management.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting tools.
Sales Performance Tracking
- Monitor the performance of field sales representatives using key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume market share and distribution.
- Identify trends gaps and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular performance reports at both individual and team levels.
Forecasting Support
- Support the sales and demand planning teams in building accurate sales forecasts using historical data and market trends.
- Work closely with the commercial (sales) team to incorporate market inputs assumptions and field insights into forecasting.
- Contribute to inventory planning by providing data-driven insights.
- Track forecast vs. actual performance and highlight deviations.
Field Market Exposure & Insights
- Conduct regular field visits with sales representatives to gain a first-hand understanding of execution customers and point-of-sale dynamics.
- Gather qualitative insights on competitors pricing promotions and channel performance.
- Use field observations to complement data analysis and improve reporting accuracy.
Sales Tools & Reporting Enablement
- Support the management and continuous improvement of sales reporting tools and dashboards.
- Ensure the field sales team has access to accurate and relevant data.
- Act as a point of contact for reporting-related queries and improvements.
Training & Support
- Provide basic training and support to field sales teams on reporting tools and data interpretation.
- Promote best practices in data usage and reporting.
- Help ensure the team is equipped to use data effectively in their daily work.
Qualifications :
- 3 year work experience in a data-related position preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and software.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Abilityto work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of FMCG market dynamics and trends.
