ECONOMIC LIAISON COORDINATOR CONTRACT (3 YEARS)
Primary Purpose:
This position supports Thessalon First Nation (TFN in providing quality and efficient services to its members and the Community & Economic Development department. The department offers referrals including integration into TFNs economic development initiatives. The contract may be extended depending on funding.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare business development program with input from
- Preparing an Economic Development Strategic Plan (EDSP.
- Preparing a Community Development Strategic Plan (CDSP.
- Assist in preparing a funding strategy resulting from the
- Providing business development services to guide applicants through a newly established
- Assisting in business analyses to assess business viability for management and leadership
- Establishing and administering a business mentorship program by offering solutions-based
- Organizing online and in-person business support for new and existing member
- Prepare business analyses documentation (using pre-determined tools.
- Tracking program deliverables and preparing program
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in business administration or combined education and work experience with a minimum of two years in small business support.
- Experience in preparing financial projections budgeting and cashflow statements.
- Proficient in the use of various types of business and communication software and
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Experience and/or trained in facilitating workshops and public
- Will be required to travel and therefore must have a valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle with adequate auto insurance.

- Must be professional and have a strong work
- Must be responsible and
- Willing to work in a team environment and
- Willing to be trained in developing best
