Job Summary
Position Purpose:this person is responsible for overseeing the staff and operations of the bar including planning controlling and ordering of Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Bar and Lounge OwnershipResponsible for bar logistics efficiency correct set up for success adequate staffing for particular shift neat and accurate product display create new offerings for bar and lounge guests (new cocktail options with mixologist by the glass offerings with wine sommelier introducing new liquor brands etc.)Responsible for all staff beverage training and materials generationLabor Management and Bar PerformanceContinually review performance of the bar (in season garden bar as well if applicable) sales and revenues most and least selling items promotional items bottle sales food items review bar and lounge policies and procedures for efficiency/accuracy liquor stocking inventory counts spot checking storage areas follow and direct others in current safety PresentationMaintain quality of all beverages up to our brand proper par levels of all by the glass wines beers and for quality and seasonality of beverage beer and cocktail offeringsFinancialFollow restaurant procedures to ensure proper ordering of all beverages besides proper COG levels given as goal by General update beverage pricing to reflect market for continued sales growth of bar and loungeAdministrativeEnsure accuracy of all menus used in bar and lounge and POS General manager with bar/lounge respond to all guest requestsSupport and drive the training culture organize tastings of new cocktails with beverage department/bar consultant with product descriptions and study materials for staff all notes regarding daily operation in Avero report/log at the end of the beverage updates in POS systemBar and Lounge and Dining Room ServiceAssist guests with beverage selections during service and oversee quality of service in the bar and lounge that all beverages are correctly punched into POS system on specific guests all beverage-related issues to the appropriate bartender or cocktail server and resolve any possible miscommunication or tension between bar/lounge but also dining room staff with any beverage related tasks whenever and complete closing bar/lounge/dining room check list prior to to StaffAlways maintain professional demeanor with all staff with any aspect of service upon request if accessible to the staff to answer all beverage questions and participate on daily pre-shift procedures as written in our training manual and communicate same to all staff who handle or serve Essential Requirements:The ability to work as part of a team and personal basic food handling preparation and cleaning skills are to communicate and understand direction in English to ensure safety in the workplace.
