Youll gain insight into all aspects of HR workfrom recruiting and onboarding to occupational safety payroll management employee engagement initiatives and resolving labor law issues. HR at EP is typical of an SME environment: generalist and very broad in scope. This means that even as an intern youll gradually take on administrative tasks as well as project work related to employee retention and development.
This internship is ideal for someone eager to be actively involved right from the start and to contribute to the full range of tasks.
Some examples of the work include:- HR administration (maintaining HR master data in Personio creating documents and certificates)
- Recruiting (job postings candidate communication scheduling preparing for conducting and evaluating job interviews)
- On- and offboarding (e.g. preparing workstations orientations and welcome meetings)
- Internal and external communication (management government agencies payroll office service providers)
- Reporting (creating statistics and analyses using Excel and Personio)
- Preparatory payroll accounting (coordinating contract-related content)
- Employee events (conceptual and organizational support in collaboration with Marketing)
- Point of contact for all employee concerns
- Participation in clarification meetings regarding labor law or social security issues
- Participation in employee reviews (feedback and/or crisis meetings)
Your profile
This internship is a good fit for you if- You are enrolled in a degree program related to human resources (psychology business administration law etc.)
- Your degree program requires an internship
- You have at least 10 weeks available for the internship
- You can communicate confidently in German and English
- You can complete the internship in person at the officenot remotely
- You have a positive people-oriented attitude healthy self-confidence and a good sense of humor
- Youre eager to play an active role in shaping the future at an international company in Cologne.

What makes EP Equipment special is its international character. Around 35 people work in the Cologne office speaking 14 different native languages. As a result the main language used in the office is addition to our Cologne office we employ people across several companies and at various locations which has a significant impact on HR work and gives you the chance to gain insight into issues within a small company that usually only arise in large corporations.
