Our client is seeking a Senior SAP Authorisation Consultant to join a high-impact DevOps team at the Group IT Hub South Africa delivering IT solutions to the global Group.

You will be responsible for SAP role design authorisation support and security compliance within the Finance and Controlling domain ensuring governance-compliant role design and user provisioning across the SAP landscape.

SAP Authorisation Mastery: 5-10 years of deep SAP Authorisation experience across all modules with strong expertise in SAP S/4 HANA Fiori Launchpad trace analysis and role design within a complex global system landscape.

Technical Leadership: Proven track record across at least 3 full project implementations working independently to investigate compliance conflicts enforce SAP security guidelines and provide guidance to junior team members.

Global Delivery: Deliver security and authorisation support for new project releases across international environments ensuring prompt incident resolution and compliance with internal controls and SAP authorisation policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• SAP Experience 5-10 years K2/3 (Authorisation specific)
• SAP Authorisation in the following modules: Finance and SD (MM would be advantageous)
• At least 3 full project implementations
• Strong experience in Applications Operations
• MS Excel with strong formula knowledge
• Good understanding of system landscape to design adequate and governance-compliant role design and user provisioning
• Proven experience in role design and support within a SAP environment
• Good problem-solving capabilities to investigate and propose alternate solutions for compliance conflicts
• Essential: Willing and able to travel extensively for up to 2 weeks at a time (international)

Essential Skills & Technologies:

• SAP Authorisation across all modules
• SAP S/4 HANA and Fiori - Fiori Launchpad and Administration
• Strong SAP Trace analysis
• MS Excel with strong formula knowledge
• Transport creation with CALM
• ITSM change ticket creation
• Good understanding of system landscape for governance-compliant role design and user provisioning
• Strong communication and analytical skills

Advantageous Skills:

• JIRA / Confluence knowledge (Agile)
• Strong Basis authorisation object knowledge
• Good skills in interpreting SAP Gateway error logs
• Basic knowledge in understanding OData and services
• Experience in all SAP role concepts

Key Responsibilities:

• Role Build: Design and implement role changes and new roles
• 1st Line Support: Provide first level support to users adhering to documented processes
• 2nd Line Support: Provide second level support to processes where documented
• Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve authorisation issues and compliance conflicts
• Monitoring: Monitor logs for user queries and access issues
• Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with development teams and team leads on user access requirements new transactions and role creation
• Security Enforcement: Enforce SAP security and SAP development guidelines
• Project Support: Deliver security and authorisation support for new project releases
• Incident Management: Ensure prompt resolution of security and authorisation incidents
• User Support: Provide user support in understanding SAP Authorisation processes
• Compliance: Ensure SAP security compliance to internal controls and implement good practice in SAP authorisation policies to mitigate business risk
• Agile Delivery: Flexibility to take up different tasks within the project as required
