Job Summary
EE would be drilling/digging holes using shovels tools and a backhoe possibly. Will work with hand tools and be trained on machines (drills backhoe) eventually. Once hole is dug they will be pulling and help assist pulling cable. The holes are for different piping/poles/cables. Very physical job that will be working outside in all conditions. Will not work in thunder lightning or heavy snow. EE will meet at the Perrysburg facility every morning to carpool to the jobsite. Jobsites could be anywhere in Northwest Ohio/Southeast Michigan - mostly outskirt areas all residential will need to have ability to stand for long periods of time tolerate extreme weather conditions withstand prolonged and repeated: lifting standing climbing kneeling and digging. Own transportation to and from work a must with valid drivers license. Duties will include: install and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling through means of directional boring hand dig using a shovel and mechanical tools operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery working in congested or remote areas maintain visual and audible contact with other crewmen and all moving or stationary person vehicles and objects to ensure safe coordination of movement set up and clean up of construction site clean and maintain job vehicles and equipment.
