Performance Quality Engineer

Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our clients and/or downtown Toronto officeat a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time
We are seeking a skilled Performance Tester to design execute and analyze performance tests to ensure application scalability reliability and responsiveness under varying workloads.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Design and develop performance test scripts using tools such as LoadRunner or NeoLoad
. Perform workload modeling and simulate real-world usage scenarios
. Execute performance load stress and endurance tests
. Monitor application performance using tools like Dynatrace
. Analyze test results identify bottlenecks and provide actionable recommendations
. Collaborate with development QA and infrastructure teams to optimize system performance
. Prepare detailed performance test reports and dashboards

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Hands-on experience with LoadRunner and/or NeoLoad
. Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies (load stress spike endurance testing)
. Experience with Dynatrace or similar APM tools
. Solid understanding of workload modeling and performance engineering concepts
. Ability to analyze logs metrics and system behavior

Good to Have (Bonus Skills):

. Experience with Parasoft Virtualize (service virtualization)
. Development experience (Java Python or similar)
. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Preferred Qualifications:

. Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80000$130000. This role is an existing vacancy.
