Quality Analyst Wire Payments Investigation

Position Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Analyst (Tester) with strong experience in wire payments and payment investigations. The role supports testing initiatives across SWIFT CBPR Lynx Payments and ISO 20022 with a focus on end-to-end payment processing investigations and exception handling.
You will work closely with business operations and technology teams to ensure high-quality reliable payment solutions in a complex banking environment. Location: Toronto ON (Hybrid minimum 2 days onsite)

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Execute functional integration system and end-to-end testing for SWIFT CBPR Lynx and investigation workflows
Design and execute test cases based on business and technical requirements
Validate ISO 20022 / SWIFT MX payment and investigation messages
Test investigation lifecycle scenarios including cancellations returns status updates and responses
Support SIT regression testing UAT and defect management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze issues and ensure quality delivery
Use Copilot or AI-assisted tools where applicable to improve testing efficiency and documentation

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Strong hands-on testing experience in the banking payments domain
Solid knowledge of SWIFT CBPR Lynx payments and wire investigations
Experience validating ISO 20022 (MX) and legacy SWIFT MT messages
Understanding of end-to-end payment lifecycle exceptions and investigations
Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills
Experience with MT-to-MX coexistence or payment modernization initiatives

Nice to Have
Experience with CGI BESS Pega PSI or SWIFT AMH Wire Room
Exposure to AI-enabled testing tools or Copilot
Experience in payment transformation or modernization programs


CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65000 - $115000. This role is a existing vacancy.
