Job Summary
Job Title: Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)

Status: Full-Time Non-Exempt
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support a manufacturing facility on 2nd shift. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on production equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate brings a strong mechanical and electrical background with the ability to work across pneumatic hydraulic and control systems.
This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment uptime safety compliance and overall operational efficiency.
Compensation & Schedule
Pay: $25.00$28.00/hour based on experience
Shift Differential:
2nd Shift: $0.55/hour
3rd Shift: $1.00/hour
Schedule: 2nd shift with flexibility for additional coverage as needed
Employment Type: Temp-to-perm opportunity
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance repairs and equipment overhauls across production and facility systems
Troubleshoot mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic issues
Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals
Support equipment operation and ensure adherence to safety procedures
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation in a timely manner
Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
Follow all safety protocols including lockout/tagout PPE and hazard communication
Participate in safety training and ongoing development initiatives
Support production teams as needed and assist with continuous improvement efforts
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
23 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Experience with control systems or distributed control systems is a plus
Sanitary welding experience is a plus
Food or beverage manufacturing experience preferred
Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency
High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
Dependable punctual and able to work independently or within a team
Education & Experience
Associates degree or technical training in electromechanical mechatronics or a related field preferred
Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered
Additional Skills & Experience (Preferred)
Building maintenance experience including plumbing HVAC or general repairs
Experience with steam boilers and air compressor systems
Work Environment & Expectations
Must be able to work assigned shift and adapt to production needs
Ability to follow all safety and operational procedures
Strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset
