Ground Support Equipment Technician

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily maintenance and preventative maintenance on all Ground Support Equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

• Diagnose problems using test equipment and applicable manuals. Remove test repair or replace components and accessories such as carburetors governors air and oil cleaners ignition components and sensors.

• Operate and test ground equipment for performance assessment and quality assurance.

• Document all repairs parts and labor on the computer foraccuraterecord-keeping.

• Meet D.O.T requirements and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.

• Lift lower push pullleverage and manipulate equipment and/or packages weighing up to 70 moving packages or equipment up to 150 pounds.

• Operate standard/manual transmission vehicles andutilizepower and pneumatic tools.

• Wear personal protective equipment asrequiredand work in various environmental conditions including variable temperatures and humidity exposure to cleaning materials petroleum products dust dirt noise and outside inclement weather.

• Collaborate effectively in a diverse work environment and communicate clearly to perform assigned tasks andmaintainproper job safety conditions.

Requirements:

• Previousexperience in performing maintenance and repairs on Ground Support Equipment including gas and diesel-powered engines hydraulic and air brake systems and electrical systems.

• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues effectively using test equipment and manuals.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights weekends and overtime as needed.

• Possess all necessary personal toolsrequiredfor the job.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Thestartingpay for this position is $39.38per hour. For union-represented postings wage rates and ranges and benefit offerings are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreement provisions.
