About the Opportunity

  • Thoroughly cleancommon areasincluding lobbies hallways and stairwells

  • Sweeping mopping dusting vacuuming cleaning and sanitizing kitchens and bathrooms.

  • Completescommon areahousekeeping duties as per assignment

  • Collect refuse from residents rooms and dispose of this refusein accordance withset procedures

  • Documents all completed job routine tasks

  • Completes audits and inspections asrequired

  • Completes residents personal laundry services as requested

  • Communicates supply needs to People Leaderin a timely manner

  • Efficiently uses supplies and equipment tomaintainservice quality levels

  • Clean and restock housekeeping cart; notify Supervisor when supplies are low

  • Promote safety culture by continuously working safely including but not limited toidentifyingand reporting hazards following safe work practices and procedures wearing personal protective equipment supporting others to worksafelyand completing safety education.

  • Alladditionalduties as assigned

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvementcollaborationand accountability you bring:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent education

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in commercial housekeeping and/or laundry

  • A high levelof initiative for and commitment to completing housekeeping assignments efficiently and in a warm friendly and customer-service-oriented manner.

  • Ability to communicate well with internal and external customers to meet needs in a polite courteous and cooperative manner.

  • Knowledge of infection control and prevention practices

  • Ability toutilizeauto scrubber floor buffer vacuum

  • Previousexperience working with seniors or in a seniors living environment considered an asset

  • Ability towork independently with minimal supervision and can safely use chemical cleaning agents and equipment.

  • Ability to provide a clear criminal record check upon hire

  • Completed Dementia: Understanding the Journey course considered an asset

  • Proof of validcurrent First Aid & CPR certification (Remove if not assisted living in NB)

  • A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodationsservicesand care
