In anticipation of opening in June 2026 we are searching for a full-time Dietary Aideto join ournew Adeline Hall Enhanced Careteam based in Bedford Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity
Consistently ensures food quality presentation and service delivery meet established department standards. Ensures meals are attractive the correct temperature andportionsize and that service istimely
Follows production sheets to guide food preparation andassistwith cost control
Stays up to datewith the specific needs of each resident e.g. diet restrictionsallergiesand special requests/accommodations.
Stays up to datewith daily changes related to menus and/or residents.
Familiarizes self with the specific needs of each client e.g. diet restrictionsallergiesand special requests/accommodations
Assistswith the process for checking and receiving of deliveries and inventory control. Ensures all supplies are stored labelled and rotated properly
Makes sure that theServeryand dining room appearance meetssetstandards for cleanlinessorganizationand set up prior to meal service.
Processes pots pans and dishware andmaintainssanitation dishwasher and dish sinks according toestablishedand required cleaning guidelines.
Immediately reports any equipment temperature issues to manager and takes correctiveactionas necessary.
Participates in the client and employee incident reporting and investigation process asrequired
Reports areas and equipment in need of repair to the maintenance department
Ensures kitchen appearance meets established standards for cleanliness and organization

About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvementcollaborationand accountability you bring:
A high-school diploma or GED
Proof of Food Safety Certificationrequired
Experience in a kitchen setting is considered an asset.
Previousexperience in working with the elderly in long-term care or a senior living environmentconsidered an asset
Bilingualism in English and French considered an asset
First Aid and CPR certificationconsidered an asset
Ability to work flexible hours and shifts (including weekends and holidays)
Strong customer service skills and a passion for serving seniors
Experience in the culinary field and are familiar with preparing plates for clients
A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodationsservicesand care
