Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Director of Women & Children Services to lead and oversee Womens and Childrens departments. This executive nursing leadership role is responsible for operational excellence patient safety quality outcomes regulatory compliance physician engagement and strategic service line growth across multiple maternal and pediatric care departments.
This opportunity supports a high-acuity womens and childrens program including advanced maternal and neonatal care services.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee daily operations and clinical services across Womens and Childrens departments
- Support organizational mission vision and nursing leadership initiatives
- Drive strategic planning and service line growth initiatives
- Develop and implement departmental policies procedures and operational standards
- Ensure high-quality patient outcomes patient safety and regulatory compliance
- Oversee staffing scheduling budgeting and resource management
- Build and maintain strong physician and interdisciplinary team relationships
- Mentor support and develop nursing leaders managers and staff
- Lead performance improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs
- Participate in community outreach and organizational leadership initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all corporate accreditation and regulatory standards
Departments Overseen:
- Labor & Delivery
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Postpartum / Couplet Care
- Maternal Services Designation Teams
- Neonatal Services Designation Teams
Department & Leadership Overview:
- High-volume Womens and Childrens service lines
- Leadership oversight of multiple department managers and large clinical teams
- Advanced maternal and neonatal care environment
- Collaborative multidisciplinary leadership structure
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Masters degree in Nursing Healthcare Administration or related field required
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active Texas RN License or Compact RN License required
- National Specialty Certification required
- AHA BLS Certification required
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of recent nursing experience in Womens Services Labor & Delivery NICU PICU Pediatrics or related specialties
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience required
- Strong operational strategic and service line leadership experience preferred

- Strong physician relationship-building and communication skills
- Passion for leadership development and team mentorship
- Strategic and operational healthcare leadership expertise
- Ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity environment
