The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join our team.

This is a hands-on and varied role that will see you working closely with both finance and operational teams supporting project performance financial reporting and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers on cost reporting and financial analysis
• Manage accounts receivable invoicing and collections
• Support budgeting forecasting and cashflow management
• Prepare month-end journals reconciliations and financial reports
• Assist with BAS payroll tax and statutory compliance
• Maintain fixed assets and financial records
• Support payroll interface processes
• Act as a key systems user (MYOB Advanced / Acumatica Workbench Payroll Metrics)
• Assist with audits and board reporting
• Provide general office support including:
• • Ordering office supplies
  • Coordinating staff travel arrangements
• Support the Finance Manager across finance and operational initiatives

About You

You will be:

• CPA/CA qualified (or near completion)
• Experienced in a Senior Financial Accountant or similar role
• Ideally from an engineering construction or project-based environment
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
• Systems savvy with experience in ERP/accounting platforms
• A strong communicator who can work across finance and operations
• Hands-on proactive and adaptable
