About the Monitoring Technologies Group

As part of the Data Solutions Division the Monitoring Technologies Group develops and delivers cutting-edge instrumentation and monitoring systems as well as short medium and long-term testing and monitoring services. Our technology is primarily focussed on acoustic emission sensors and systems ultrasonic scanners and software-integrated platforms that enable clients to move from reactive to predictive maintenance. Joining this team means contributing to industry-leading technologies that safeguard critical infrastructure and shape the future of smart asset integrity management.

The Role

This is a senior leadership role responsible for running and scaling a $1520M business unit. The General Manager will own performance across engineering production and field operations ensuring the business delivers on its financial commitments operational targets and customer expectations.

You will translate executive strategy into execution lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement across the team. This role sits at the center of the business connecting strategy operations and delivery. Success in this position means building a scalable high-performing operation that delivers reliable products high quality services and strong financial results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own full P&L performance including revenue cost control profitability forecasting and delivery against financial targets
  • Partner with centralised finance and commercial teams to ensure strong financial governance disciplined forecasting and commercial decisionâmaking
  • Translate business strategy and growth objectives into a clear operational strategy and execution roadmap
  • Align operational capacity scheduling and delivery with sales demand backlog and longâterm growth plans
  • Lead endâtoâend operations across the product supply business including engineering production assembly test quality inventory and supply chain
  • Lead monitoring and field service operations to ensure reliable scalable and customerâfocused service delivery
  • Ensure engineering production R&D and field teams deliver safely on time on budget and to agreed plans
  • Drive operational discipline through robust planning performance management KPI tracking and regular operating reviews
  • Lead and develop senior functional leaders across engineering production asset monitoring and field services with clear accountability and succession planning
  • Build a highâperformance culture by setting clear objectives developing capability fostering collaboration and maintaining a strong safetyâfirst mindset
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency quality scalability and cost competitiveness
  • Lead process optimisation automation and operational transformation initiatives to support growth and margin expansion
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards safety regulations and internal policies acting as operational owner for audits and remediation
  • Proactively identify manage and mitigate operational risk to ensure stable predictable and resilient operations
  • Own operational contributions to customer satisfaction service performance and longâterm customer value

What You Bring

  • 10 years of leadership experience in operations manufacturing or product-based environments
  • Proven track record of owning and improving business performance
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering production and field operations
  • Background in industrial services engineering or related industries preferred
  • Degree in Engineering Manufacturing or related discipline preferred.
  • Hands-on technically capable leader
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented and data-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Collaborative and adaptable comfortable working with international teams.
  • Committed to high standards of safety quality and operational excellence.
