Please read below for additional details and let us know if you have the skills and experience we are looking for by submitting your the Position:The primary role of the Camp Administrative Assistant is to coordinate administrative activities and provide excellent customer service relating to BC SPCA summer camps. Some specific duties:Responding to phone calls and emails related to Humane Ed summer campsProcessing camp registrationsSending email to parents one week prior to campMaintaining a summer camp registration databaseCreating camp lists and attendance sheetsFollowing up on camper absencesSubmitting weekly reports on camp registration statistics Working with camp staff to coordinate supplies Booking guest speakersFulfilling membershipsScreening bursary applicationsAssisting with junior volunteer coordination as requestedProcessing refunds/discounts as neededMaking changes to camper profiles as neededAssisting with other administrative work for the Humane Ed team as neededOther duties as may be required Qualifications you need to have:High School Diploma or equivalent with some customer service post-secondary education and/or related experience (working with youth administrative duties) is considered an experience in working effectively as part of a team and willingness to learn Energetic and enthusiasticPatient positive and hardworkingAbility to communicate with a diverse audience and resolve conflict in a constructive respectful and professional mannerExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational and time-management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is an assetMust be willing to complete a criminal record check with vulnerable sector checkWorking knowledge of the concepts of equity diversity inclusion and reconciliationPhilosophical alignment with the vision mission and values of the BC SPCA How to apply:If you are interested in joining our team and are legally entitled to work in Canada we would like to hear from you.
