Job Summary
Position Title: Occupational Therapist School

Schedule: Monday Friday

Job Summary:
Provide in-person occupational therapy services in a school district supporting students in developing fine motor sensory and functional skills required for academic performance and daily school activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to school-based students
- Evaluate students for fine motor sensory and functional needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions
- Collaborate with teachers special education staff and parents
- Participate in IEP meetings and progress reviews
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance reports
- Support handwriting motor coordination and daily living skills development
- Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications
- Ensure compliance with school district and state requirements
Requirements:
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license required (in hand prior to start)
- Prior school-based OT experience required
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Strong knowledge of IEP and special education processes
- Ability to work in-person (no remote option)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Comfortable working with pediatric populations
- Ability to manage caseload independently
