Job Description:
This job is responsible for serving as a finance partner to specified Lines of Business (LOBs) and providing financial analysis and guidance to support key decisions and initiatives. Key responsibilities include performing forecasting profitability analysis expense efficiency pricing financial reporting and generating value creation ideas and new investment business cases. Job expectations include preparing insights to guide managements decision making and evaluating financial performance versus plans forecasts and prior periods.
Line of Business Job Description:
This job is part of the fast-paced team that supports $4B in annual technology initiative spending. This role requires interaction with Technology project management partners to assist with project set-ups allocations and reporting. The role also includes working with Business Finance Officers and technology project managers to coordinate the quarterly software capitalization assessment. This job may include supporting and improving the teams investment in Alteryx workflows and/or Tableau addition to responsibilities for assigned portfolios this position provides an opportunity to drive improvement in an enterprise process.
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven individual to quickly learn the Initiative financial ecosystem. A strong candidate is someone who is comfortable working independently but also can lead teammates through process improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support the project portfolios for assigned Tech teams including set-up rate and funding updates portfolio targets allocations and reporting
- Develop deep understanding of TPAS (financial system or record for technology initiatives) and related routines and data query tools
- Support user training on TPAS and/or software capitalization
- Coordinate quarterly software capitalization assessment for assigned portfolios
- Support process owner deliverables including maintaining and updating desktop procedures
- Assist in development of data dashboards reports presentations ad hoc analysis and research using Microsoft Office Suite and Emerging Technology tools
- Execute and maintain TPAS-supporting Alteryx workflows and Tableau dashboards
- Leverage data query tools (PowerQuery/TOAD) to perform research and analysis
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and apply analytical thinking and problem solving to deliverables while collaborating with key stakeholders and partners
- Ensure compliance with accounting policy controls and governance standards.
- Identify and execute process improvements with moderate autonomy.
- Influence partners through clear communication and data-driven insights.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-5 years in Finance Data or related industry experience
- Financial planning & analysis experience
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Comfortable engaging with senior Finance teammates
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Familiarity with Alteryx or other data management tools
- Demonstrated ability to learn complex processes and tools quickly
- Well organized and strong attention to detail
- Seeks to build relationships and collaborate with teammates
- Strong organization skills and ability to manage/sequence multiple deliverables
- Process improvement mindset
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in finance Accounting and/or Data/Computer Science
- Experience with TPAS PMMT and/or PPRT
- Deep experience with data tools and automation platforms (e.g. Power Query Tableau Alteryx SQL etc.)
- SAP / eLedger / EPM
- Experience in process improvement operations or project management roles
