The successful candidate will be responsible for the nutritional management of patients in the Neurovascular Unit (B4 NVU) and Complex Malignant Hematology (K3CA) in accordance with the Clinical Nutrition Standards of Practice as well as the principles of patient-centred care. The successful candidate will participate in the advancement of patient care through interprofessional rounds unit-based and organizational committees quality initiatives and practice-based research. The candidate will also participate in the education of dietetic interns and other students as applicable.
Qualifications/Skills:
Member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO) required
Recent experience with stroke and oncology patients preferred
Experience in management of therapeutic diets enteral and parenteral nutrition required
Recent experience in an ICU setting preferred
Superior critical thinking communication and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate effectively as a member of a the interprofessional team
Experience in providing patient/family education required
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize work required
Demonstrated ability to advocate for patient needs required
Demonstrate application of evidence-based practice required
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development required
