How youll contribute
A Chief Financial Officer Assistant who excels in this role:

• Directs the departments activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission values and objectives.
• Develops and implements departmental goals plans and standards consistent with the clinical administrative legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities including hiring orienting evaluating disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares monitors and evaluates departmental budgets and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
• Administers the general accounting patient business services including third party reimbursement financial and statistical reporting functions of the hospital in accordance with established policies and accounting procedures.
• Provides informal direction in data processing distributed systems material management and medical records functions.
• Assures the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and assures that the reports reliably reflect the financial position of the hospital. Directs the preparation of internal financial reports including work papers for annual financial audit.
• Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.

What were looking for

Education:

• Bachelors degree required; CPA or Masters degree strongly preferred.

Licenses:

• CPA preferred

Skills & Experience:

• Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
