Roving Maintenance Technician Part-Time

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Roving Maintenance Technician to help assist with a clients portfolio with their affordable housing properties. The ideal candidate will have general maintenance knowledge be self-motivated be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

Salary: $30-$35/hour DOQ.

Schedule: Monday Friday 8am 5pm. Part-time hours can be flexible

This is a full-time on-site role Roving as a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance tasks including troubleshooting preventive maintenance and repairs in occupied single-family homes. Additionally the Maintenance Technician will work with the renovations team to complete includes lock changes developing scopes of work performing general maintenance and repairs on vacant properties quality checks on vendor work and completing lease-up inspections with the local housing authority.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks windows floors and other parts of the building.
• Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up shoveling and sweeping curb/dumpster area maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
• Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer dryer refrigerator stove microwave dishwashers etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues diagnose problems replace and/or repair parts test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• HVAC EPA Universal Certification is required
• Bachelors degree or higher education beyond a high school diploma is desired
• At a minimum 5 years of HVAC medium plumbing and light electrical experience addition the candidate should have experience with general handy work and drywall/leak repairs.
• Knowledge of Section 8 and rental licensing preferred not required.
• Have reliable transportation and valid drivers license as this role will be roving to different locations.
• Pass a drug test and background check before employment.
• Bachelors degree in trade school is highly preferred.
