A Behavioral Health Techwho excels in this role:

Responsible for supporting the therapeutic milieu under the direction of the RN by ensuring that the schedule/program is consistently delivered patients are supervised that safety is maintained and patients and guests are treated with respect and dignity.

What were looking for

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

License

• Will require valid drivers license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) along with proof of insurance when using personal or hospital owned vehicle

Certification

• CPR certification within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• Completion of additional age specific training within 30 days of employment as required
• Where applicable must obtain and maintain agency affiliation

Minimum Work Experience

• Previous experience in a psychiatric health facility with direct experience working with chemical dependency dual diagnosis psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred

Additional Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
