Schedule: Full-Time 1st Shift
Pay: $20.00 $23.00 per hour Contract-to-Hire
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support plastic injection molding manufacturing operations. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential for candidates looking to grow within a fast-paced production environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience with plastic part inspection blueprint reading quality documentation and visual/dimensional inspection standards within a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work orders inspection instructions blueprints and part specifications to determine inspection requirements
- Inspect raw materials molded plastic components in-process production and finished products for conformance to quality standards
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers micrometers gauges and other measurement tools
- Verify molded parts for defects such as flash short shots sink marks warping discoloration and cosmetic imperfections
- Record inspection data and compare results against engineering drawings control plans and customer specifications
- Identify tag and document non-conforming materials or products
- Support first-piece in-process and final inspections during production runs
- Communicate inspection findings with production operators technicians and supervisors
- Maintain accurate and organized quality records and inspection reports
- Assist with corrective actions root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Follow all company quality procedures safety standards and work instructions
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience in plastic injection molding or manufacturing environments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and inspection criteria
- Experience using measurement tools such as calipers micrometers height gauges and go/no-go gauges
- Familiarity with plastic molded part defects and visual inspection standards preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail organization and documentation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and work within a team environment
