Job Title: Quality Inspector Plastic Injection Molding
Schedule: Full-Time 1st Shift
Pay: $20.00 $23.00 per hour Contract-to-Hire

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support plastic injection molding manufacturing operations. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential for candidates looking to grow within a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with plastic part inspection blueprint reading quality documentation and visual/dimensional inspection standards within a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders inspection instructions blueprints and part specifications to determine inspection requirements
• Inspect raw materials molded plastic components in-process production and finished products for conformance to quality standards
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers micrometers gauges and other measurement tools
• Verify molded parts for defects such as flash short shots sink marks warping discoloration and cosmetic imperfections
• Record inspection data and compare results against engineering drawings control plans and customer specifications
• Identify tag and document non-conforming materials or products
• Support first-piece in-process and final inspections during production runs
• Communicate inspection findings with production operators technicians and supervisors
• Maintain accurate and organized quality records and inspection reports
• Assist with corrective actions root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
• Follow all company quality procedures safety standards and work instructions
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience in plastic injection molding or manufacturing environments
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and inspection criteria
• Experience using measurement tools such as calipers micrometers height gauges and go/no-go gauges
• Familiarity with plastic molded part defects and visual inspection standards preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail organization and documentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and work within a team environment
