Lab Tech I
Job Summary
As a Lab Tech I for CONMED you will evaluate product returned by our customers by performing visual functional electrical mechanical and chemical testing. You will be an important part of the team that evaluates and documents results in complaint files per procedural this role youll gain exposure to many different products. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Decontaminate returned customer complaint product per established procedures. Coordinate off-site decontamination with approved vendor when decontamination cannot occur on-site.
Using various lab test equipment perform product evaluations and testing according to procedures protocols established methods and standards in support of customer complaint investigations. Document the evaluations per established procedures.
Manage in-process workload ensuring FIFO and Adverse Event Reportability are priority.
Work with suppliers and OEM to coordinate the return of complaint product for evaluation by the vendor.
Assure test equipment is properly calibrated or has had the appropriate preventative maintenance for customer complaint testing.
Provides management with a weekly update on the status of in-process activities in the lab.
Job Requirements:
0-3 years working in a lab environment preferably a medical device manufacturer test lab. Willing to train and work in a hands-on environment.
Preferred Experience:
AAS in a science/technical discipline preferred.
Familiarity with using Word and Excel.
Basic knowledge of GMP/QSR regulations and knowledge of MDR reporting requirement desirable
Expected Travel 0-20%

Disclosure as required by applicablelaw the hourly range for this position is $18.40 - $28.60 an hour. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location work experience education and skill level. The salary range is CONMEDs good faith belief at the time of this posting.
