Job Summary
Leidos is in search of anOwners Engineer to join our diverse organization. This position will be part of an established and successful Power Delivery Solutions division that provides consulting services to both public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities. As a core team member you will serve as the technical advocate and trusted advisor to the project owner ensuring that engineering deliverables designs and construction activities meet project requirements industry standards and the owners operational expectations. This role provides oversight coordination and quality assurance across all phases of the projects including planning design procurement construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities:
Review and evaluate engineering drawings specifications studies and calculations prepared by EPC contractors consultants and equipment vendors.
Ensure designs comply with applicable codes standards and owner-specific requirements (e.g. IEEE NESC utility standards).
Provide technical guidance on protection & control designs.
Occasional Site-visits to client substation facilities may be required along with occasional travel for client meetings and industry-related events.
Participate in design reviews constructability assessments and valueengineering discussions.
Support project managers by translating technical issues into actionable decisions.
Review vendor submittals equipment data sheets FAT/SAT results and test reports.
Support the development and enforcement of engineering standards and best practices.
Provide technical support during construction including RFI responses field issue resolution and design clarifications.
Evaluate technical risks and provide recommendations to mitigate impacts on cost schedule and system reliability.
Track engineering deliverables and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
What you will bring to the table:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or other related degree
Ten (10) plus years of direct experience in substation Protection and control design
Ability to lead substation design projects by aligning engineering execution with program management
It would be nice if you had:
Registered Professional Engineer (P.E) license
Masters degree in related field

Pay Range $131300.00 - $237350.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
