At PwC our people in infrastructure focus on designing and implementing robust secure IT systems that support business operations. They enable the smooth functioning of networks servers and data centres to optimise performance and minimise downtime.

In infrastructure engineering at PwC you will focus on designing and implementing robust and scalable technology infrastructure solutions for clients. Your work will involve network architecture server management and cloud computing experience.

As part of the Enterprise Architecture team at PwC Switzerland this role contributes to shaping and evolving the firms enterprise-wide architecture across business data application integration technology and security domains. The team connects strategy with execution by translating architectural direction into clear standards reference architectures patterns and roadmaps that delivery teams can apply in practice.

Close collaboration with product and delivery teams as well as with digital compliance and information security stakeholders is a core part of the role. The position also works with PwC stakeholders beyond Switzerland to ensure alignment with global strategies and standards while addressing local regulatory and business requirements.

Your impact

Contribute to the definition and evolution of the future-state enterprise architecture translating business strategy and operating model needs into principles standards and reference architectures
Maintain and evolve transparency of the IT landscape across applications platforms integrations and key data flows including inventories capability maps and dependency views
Ensure the IT landscape is accurately captured and usable in enterprise architecture repositories and tools applying data quality practices and creating stakeholder-friendly views
Support architecture governance and compliance by helping teams align designs with agreed standards and guardrails and by documenting exceptions and trade-offs clearly
Act as a trusted advisor to delivery teams and stakeholders ensuring non-functional requirements such as security resilience performance maintainability and cost are addressed early and consistently
Translate architectural direction into consumable assets including minimum viable patterns reusable building blocks templates and reference implementations to accelerate delivery and reduce rework
Evaluate technologies and standards recommend fit-for-purpose solutions and support standard configurations to improve resilience scalability and cost-effectiveness
Provide hands-on architecture expertise across the Azure and Microsoft ecosystem including identity landing zones integration patterns and security-by-design
Collaborate effectively in a global multi-stakeholder environment aligning local architecture decisions with PwC global platforms reference architectures and policies

Your skill set

Experience in enterprise architecture and/or solution or domain architecture with the ability to connect strategy governance and delivery
Strong capability to lead architecture discussions influence stakeholders and drive alignment across teams without direct authority
Practical experience with enterprise architecture repositories and tools such as Ardoq or comparable solutions
Solid modelling skills for example using ArchiMate and the ability to create clear decision-ready architecture diagrams
Strong knowledge and proven experience with Azure and the Microsoft technology stack ideally supported by advanced-level certifications such as Azure Solution Architect
Hands-on experience in technical areas including cloud infrastructure networking identity APIs and integration and security patterns
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure complex topics and communicate them clearly
A university degree in business informatics computer science or a related field or equivalent professional experience
Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English; German proficiency is an advantage
