VRLC Program Coordinator

BASIC FUNCTION
To support the VRLC Director in a variety of aspects of administering the AmeriCorps Program. Duties include but are not limited to member support and recruitment reporting outreach and event logistics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain AmeriCorps members personnel files including processing member enrollment and exit paperwork.
- Manage members in eGrants OnCorps and other AmeriCorps tracking
- Manage and monitor members hours by registering members on OnCorps system regular review of member timesheets and notifying members of their hours status.
- Facilitate member and supervisor criminal background checks
- Carry out member recruitment process including: advertising; posting position descriptions online; communicating with sponsoring sites; fielding inquiries; approving applications; processing AmeriCorps applications; and updating brochures and
- Coordinate logistics for AmeriCorps trainings and events in conjunction with the Director; attend and assist facilitation of AmeriCorps events and trainings.
- Help coordinate and manage special projects and member initiatives with the AmeriCorps Program.
- Manage member benefits such as health care enrollment mileage reimbursement and
- networking
- Conduct member site visits with the
- Maintain program website and other communication
- Assist Director with data collection in-kind match collection and
- Assist Director with member support such as conflict resolution mentoring and resource
- Demonstrate inclusivity and provide excellent customer service in all modalities including in-person telephone e-mail video call live chat texting and the
- Collaborate with Program Director on tasks and
- Assist with presenting portions of the member
- Assist with maintaining alumni
- Participate in and represent VRLC at VTSU meetings committees workgroups and
- Other duties as requested necessary and appropriate
SUPERVISON RECEIVED
Direct supervision is received from the VRLC Director.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
None.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in customer service business human services or related field bachelors degree strongly preferred plus two to four years of related experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle required - position involves in-state travel and occasional attendance at national conferences and training events.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge:
- Understanding of the psychological and cultural characteristics of economically and educationally disadvantaged students particularly in a rural setting.
- Experience working with diverse
- Prior participation in a national service program is preferred
Skills:
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products including Word and
Abilities:
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple
- Ability to work independently or as part of a
- Ability to be flexible positive and open-minded is
- Demonstrated ability to support a diverse community and promote diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
- Demonstrated positive attitude regarding Vermont State University and a desire to improve student outcomes.
Location: Vermont State Lyndon Campus with travel required.
Compensation:The budgeted compensation for this position is $20.50 - $23.00 per hour.
