Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine / PET Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Mission Viejo California. The ideal candidate will primarily perform PET imaging procedures while supporting Nuclear Medicine services as needed in a Magnet-designated acute care hospital.
Responsibilities
Perform PET and Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures according to physician orders
Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging studies
Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
Ensure high-quality imaging and proper documentation of results
Operate and maintain PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine equipment
Follow radiation safety and departmental protocols
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Float between PET and Nuclear Medicine departments as needed
Requirements
ARRT(N) or NMTCB Certification required
Current California License required
BLS Certification required
Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience required
Minimum 6 months of PET experience required (hard stop)
PET certification not required if candidate has required Nuclear Medicine certification and PET experience
Epic experience highly preferred
Siemens equipment experience highly preferred
