Part time position (1 year contract- 3 days/ week)

Nilfisk is looking for an experienced Design Consultant to strengthen our Design team and help drive customer-centric product and solution innovation across our global portfolio.

In this senior role you will shape and safeguard Nilfisks industrial design principles while delivering high-quality design solutions from early insights and concept development through industrialization and launch.

You will follow and strengthen existing Nilfisk design guidelines. You will work on various professional cleaning products such as floor scrubbers vacuum cleaners and high-pressure washers Light Ivac collaborating closely with external design partners UI/ UX R&D quality sourcing product management.

Key Responsibilities

Drive industrial design from concept to production in line with Nilfisks brand and design guidelines

Develop strong form aesthetics and user-focused solutions with durability and sustainability in mind

Create sketches form studies prototypes and 3D CAD models (SolidWorks preferred)

Collaborate on mechanical digital and hybrid interfaces to ensure intuitive robust user interactions

Communicate design intent clearly across multidisciplinary teams and suppliers

Support testing prototyping and quality validation together with engineering

Stay up to date on design trends and competitor insights within industrial and adjacent markets

Profile

Senior industrial designer or design consultant with proven end-to-end product development experience

Strong conceptual thinking sketching and form development skills

Experience working in complex technical or industrial environments

Confident communicator able to engage multidisciplinary and international teams

Tools & Skills

3D CAD and prototyping tools (SolidWorks preferred; Rhino Creo)

Adobe Creative Suite Rendering tools (KeyShot a plus)

Physical prototyping (foam paper basic models)
