Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Eureka California. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures while ensuring patient safety imaging quality and compliance with departmental protocols in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to physician orders
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
- Position patients appropriately for imaging studies
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment
- Ensure accurate documentation of procedures and patient information
- Follow radiation safety and infection control standards
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support diagnostic and treatment planning
- Provide compassionate patient care throughout imaging procedures
Requirements
- Previous Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and radiation safety standards
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Excellent communication and patient care skills required
- Relevant certifications and state licensure may be required based on facility standards
