Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service in a multi-shift environmentPerforms duties including but not limited to mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machinesSupports an optimized production environment by applying the principles of Lean Manufacturing and 5SResponsible for maintaining and performing repairs to the facilityFort Dearborn has been around for almost 100 years and we pride ourselves on our high level of excellence. Every team member of Fort Dearborn is expected to treat all associates respectfully and professionallyParticipates in special projects and performs other duties as assignedQualificationsOne or more years of demonstrated experience in the electrical mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic applicationsThe ability to read electrical schematics and a vocational maintenance training certificate are preferred Requires basic knowledge of computers and operating systems Must have the ability to multitask and to identify and execute process improvements as needed Requires strong problem-solving skills to assess product output relative to specifications Requires physical ability to climb stairs bend sit stand walk reach with arms push pull and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extended time frames Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularlyIncludes the ability to stoop squat crawl and kneel as needed This position requires frequent walking.
