MARIETTA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICTJOB DESCRIPTIONTitle:DISTRICT TEST COORDINATOR/SPECIAL EDUCATION SUPERVISORReports to:Superintendent and Director of Student ServicesJob Objectives:Supervise all district testing to include Ohio State Tests and to assist in implementing district wide special education services. Minimum Qualifications: Valid Ohio Administrative License and experience in coordination of special education servicesExpertise in the coordination and supervision of district testing grades K 3-8; 9-12Responsibilities & Essential Functions:Coordinate the administration of the following tests: KRA (Kindergarten); Iowa (gr 2 and 5); CogAt (gr 2 and 5); Ohio State Tests:; OELPA (Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment); AASCD (Alternate Assessment Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities); ACT for Juniors at HSSupervise uploading of participating students into TIDEVerify student participation in each buildingIdentify and order paper materials for disabled studentsUpdate user accounts for all test administratorsCreate test rosters through collaboration with building administratorsReceive inventory deliver and secure paper test materials for all buildingsContinuous communication with principals re: new enrollees withdrawn students test mode changes for studentsOrder inventory delivery of all secure materials to each building including Ewing and Juvenile CenterDuring specific district test windows be available at all timesCollaborate with EMIS coordinator following test administrationsArrange family report mailings following each test administrationACT for Juniors - responsible for student data upload accommodation approval for special ed students secure material inventory and deliveryCollaborate with district IT to ensure secure browser is uploaded on all devicesCoordinate testing for students attending the Reach programConduct annual updates with district personnel in all buildingsAssists in Intervention Assistance Team activities parent conferences development of Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and periodic reviews to ensure that appropriate services are provided to all students identified as having a disability. Coordinates and oversees the delivery of a continuum of special education services (e.g. student records testing speech/language pathology physical and occupational therapy orientation/mobility visual/hearing special needs transportation etc.)Complies with state model policies and procedures for the education of students identified as having a current with the K-12 courses of study the districts scope and sequence framework and state standards/ IAT processes to help staff resolve problems that impede student that services are provided in the least restrictive educational effective relationships with community services (e.g. court systems law enforcement health care facilities child welfare services etc).Expresses high expectations and monitors staff performance. Collaborates with supervisors to improve staff competencies. Supports opportunities for staff to develop new skills. Participates in staff evaluations when high standards and upholds the student conduct code. Helps teachers and administrators with discipline and pupil management teachers obtain instructional materials and supplies needed to ensure a consistent open communication with parents and the in professional growth personal responsibility for decisions and to develop rapport and serves as a positive role model for other specific job-related duties as as an active member of the districts leadership board policies and follows administrative Title VI-B funding-developing budget administering budget eliciting public participation to fulfill expenditures and documenting in and coordinate Alternate as an active member of the districts management board policies and follows administrative agenda information and participates in board of education meetings. Maintains visibility. Promotes a favorable image of the school district. Builds community partnerships that enhance district programs and with administrative staff and community members to formulate interpret and recommend administrative develop and implement the districts continuous improvement staff leadership. Supervises federal program curriculum for summer school intervention guidance communicates high expectations and shows an active interest in student open communications with parents and the effective relationships with community services (e.g. court systems law enforcement health care facilities child welfare services etc.).Coordinates student teachers in the schools with the various in staff selection and orientation processes as high expectations and monitors staff performance. Collaborates with supervisors to improve staff competencies. Supports opportunities for staff to develop new skills. Participates in staff evaluations when the local professional growth committees as personal privacy. Maintains the confidentiality of privileged evidence of suspected child abuse as required by parent organizations. Supports and participates in school and student activities as time in national state and/or regional activities that advance district in professional growth personal responsibility for decisions and to develop rapport and serves as a positive role model for others.
