Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Locum Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team within one of Irelands leading acute hospital services.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated consultant to provide high-quality care across obstetrics and gynaecology services while working within a supportive and progressive clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consultant-led care in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Deliver antenatal intrapartum and postnatal care
Manage gynaecology outpatient clinics and surgical procedures
Participate in on-call rota and emergency services
Support junior medical staff and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain high standards of patient safety and clinical governance
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
Job requirements
Mandatory
Specialist Registration (or eligibility) with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Previous consultant-level experience in Obs/Gynae
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Eligibility to work in Ireland
Can provide range of Gynaecological Surgery to include:
TAH
Vaginal hysterectomy
Pelvic Floor repair
Laparoscopy- Diagnostic and operative
Operative Hysteroscopy (Myosure and TCRF resectoscope)
