Essential Responsibilities:

1. Coordinates diagnostic imaging services within areas of responsibility to ensure high quality patient care in a timely manner by prescribed standards.
2. Makes room assignments and coordinates activities within the designated areas.
3. Coordinate submit and maintain ACR accreditation for assigned areas.
4. Mediates individual problems and refers to superior unresolved problems relating to morale scheduling work methods procedures supplies etc.
5. Assists with employee performance evaluations for designated staff according to the established time frame.
6. Encourages and assists in continuing education programs for imaging personnel.
7. Assists in establishing department policies and procedures.
8. Assists in the development of a yearly Quality Assurance and Improvement program.
9. Assists Director of Radiology and Clinical Coordinator as requested.
10. Holds subordinates accountable for conformity to Hospital and Department Policies.
11. Complies with minimum standards as noted on the cover page of job description.
12. Able to perform as a working imaging specialist in at least one area of designated responsibility.
13. Use common sense and special medical skills to care for the sick or handicapped with regard to the patients age and diagnosis.

Education and Experience Required:

1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an approved School of Radiographic Technology and have the credentials as stated in IX Vocational Preparation.
2. Computer experience.
3. 3-5 years of experience working as Imaging Technologist.
4. Bachelors Degree preferred.

Mandatory Licensure/Certifications:

Individuals must demonstrate competency to meet state licensure and certification requirements defined by law for whole body radiography and maintain the credential R.T.(R) ARRT or equivalent.
1. Be certified by the State of Indiana
2. Be a R.T.(R) ARRT in good standing
