Lawrence Group is seeking a talented Design Professional with 35 years of architectural design experience in a professional studio environment to join our New York Design Studio. Our boutique office specializes in experiential design with projects spanning hospitality traditional retail medical services and health and wellness environments.

Position Summary:

Lawrence Group is seeking a talented Design Professional with 35 years of architectural design experience in a professional studio environment to join our New York Design Studio. Our boutique office specializes in experiential design with projects spanning hospitality traditional retail medical services and health and wellness environments.

This position will adhere to Lawrence Groups core values:

Lawrence Group is seeking design professionals to assist with projects in our New York office.

This office is a boutique design office with around 15 architects and designers with a focus on design forward roll-out projects ranging from traditional retail to medical services and health and wellness concepts.

This position will have the opportunity to contribute to diverse architectural projects across retail hospitality and med-tail markets. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to all phases of project development from conceptualization to construction administration while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and high-quality design solutions.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Assist in the development of design concepts schematic drawings and 3D models for architectural projects in various market sectors.

Support senior architects and project managers in gathering project requirements conducting site analysis and assessing client needs.

Contribute to the preparation of presentation materials including renderings diagrams and visualizations to communicate design ideas effectively to clients and stakeholders.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including engineers consultants and contractors to integrate technical requirements and ensure design feasibility.

Produce architectural drawings plans and elevations using AutoCAD Revit and other design software adhering to established standards and protocols.

Assist in the coordination of project documentation including specifications schedules and construction details to ensure accuracy and compliance with building codes and industry standards.

Conduct research on materials products and building systems to support design decisions and enhance project sustainability.

Participate in site visits and inspections during construction phases to observe progress address field issues and assist with quality assurance.

Stay informed about current trends technologies and best practices in architecture and design and contribute ideas for innovation and improvement.

Assist with administrative tasks such as organizing project files preparing meeting agendas and maintaining project documentation.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or related field from an accredited institution.

3-5 years of experience in architectural design with a portfolio demonstrating involvement in a variety of project types and phases.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit Photoshop Illustrator Sketchup and InDesign graphic software.

Strong graphic and visualization skills with the ability to effectively communicate design ideas through drawings renderings and presentations.

Solid understanding of architectural principles building materials and construction techniques.

Excellent communication collaboration and time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Familiarity with building codes regulations and standards applicable to various project types and locations.

Membership in professional organizations related to architecture (e.g. AIA) is a plus.

Active pursuit of professional Licensing.

Pay Range:

In alignment with AIA the range for the listed qualifications is $67000 - $85000. Final offer will be based off individual qualifications with relation to the 2025 AIA Report.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment with hybrid schedule capability. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This position requires no minimum ability to lift bend or stand.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with typical Monday-Friday work schedule.

Travel

Moderate travel is expected for this position.
